We offer $13/hour, $6.5 per 30-minute completed lesson as the base rate. Additionally, tutors can earn performance bonuses ranging from 10% to 25% of the lesson price based on their quarterly performance metrics, including student ratings, lesson completion rates, and overall engagement.

Typical effective rate during beta: $15–$17/hour depending on lesson volume and performance.

Because the platform is still early, this compensation model will continue to evolve. One of our goals is to build additional earning opportunities for tutors beyond hourly teaching — and early tutors will have the chance to shape how that develops.
